Pupil Voice

Pupil Voice is the student council of Clarborough Primary School. We are a group of pupils who were elected by our class mates, to ensure that our voices are heard and to be the representatives for all of the children in school.

We meet at lunchtimes, together with Miss Green (our mentor), to discuss ideas and think of ways to make life at our school even better.

Our latest idea has been to raise funds for a friendship bench or buddy stop in the main playground. Our class mates have told us that we feel this is needed for those playtimes when we feel a bit lonely.

To do this, for one week of every month we will be running a ‘pop up’ shop at morning break time, where we will be selling healthy snacks or drinks.

In our first week of doing this and we made and sold Smoothies with Miss Green’s help. It was hard work, as we had to come in early every morning to prepare them. But we raised over £144, which school have said they will match £ for £. We have also sold hot (well warm chocolate), with cream and marshmallows, museli bars and fresh melon and pineapple.
