Are you the person to lead our happy, successful North Nottinghamshire school forwards to an exciting future?
We are looking for an inspirational head teacher for our popular and growing community primary school which serves the villages of Clarborough, Hayton and Welham, as well as attracting parents and children from the nearby market town of Retford. Are you a creative leader with the vision and passion to see how we can continue to improve, whilst recognising current good practice?  Our children are enthusiastic and thoughtful learners and our school continues to be good (OfSTED, 2016). It is a highly supportive learning community with the collective desire to be the best it can be.

Clarborough is well respected within the local community for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff, supportive governors and well behaved children. We are a consistently good and growing school which aims to develop, nurture and provide an excellent all round education for all children. Academic success is essential. We are a fully inclusive school, committed to ensuring that every child achieves their best.

We value the positive collaborative links we have established with other schools, including our local family of schools, and this ensures we continue to develop outstanding practice. Our recent new build offers the opportunity for continued growth and expansion.

As our new Head Teacher, you will:

  • be absolutely committed to high standards and outstanding outcomes for all our children
  • be caring, approachable, determined, visionary and strategic
  • build on our existing strengths and lead the school to further improve the quality of our provision and maintain our high standard of care
  • be able to motivate and inspire both staff and pupils
  • have the ability to develop strong relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors, and other stakeholders
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner; being able to lead by example.

Clarborough Primary can offer you;

  • a caring community of children who are courteous, welcoming, enthusiastic, eager to learn and proud of their school
  • a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team who are keen to continue the development of their skills towards achieving excellence
  • experienced and supportive governors who are committed to excellence and school improvement
  • a forward looking and vibrant school which engages with the whole school community
  • a commitment to your professional development as Leader of the school

You are encouraged and warmly invited to visit the school prior to submitting an application. Governors and staff would be delighted to meet you and show you round so that you can see the school in action and have an opportunity to ask any questions. Please contact, the school office to make arrangements (telephone 01777 708065).
